Turn dust into Moon Sand
UpdatedA Moon Sweepers Pressure Chamber needs a dust input, operating power and a route for its sand output. The inspected gameplay guide identifies the inlet as the side without the handle and lists a 10 kW requirement. Treat those as observed machine details, not a guarantee for an unidentified later build.
Test one chamber before extending the line
- Identify the machine's inlet and leave space for an outgoing connection.
- Bring a dust belt to the inlet and connect the sand output to its intended receiver.
- Make sure the machine is in a powered network.
- Watch a small batch enter and look for sand at the output.
Three checks for an idle chamber
| Check | What it separates |
|---|---|
| Does dust reach the inlet? | A supply or connection problem from a processing problem |
| Does the machine have power? | An idle powered line from a line waiting for electricity |
| Can sand leave? | A blocked destination from missing input |
You can span foundations in 1.0.3
The developer specifically lists Pressure Chambers among machines that now fit across multiple square foundations. Old advice to remove the foundations and use bare lunar ground is not the current placement rule.
Keep the first test compact. Changing the inlet, power supply and destination at the same time makes it harder to identify which change mattered. This is a diagnostic method, not a measured optimal factory layout.
If the machine says Could not pack a capsule
Version 1.0.4 specifically addresses machines stopping with “Could not pack a capsule” despite available power and materials. Update before testing that symptom again. If it persists, preserve the machine, version and first blocked stage; the fix does not replace the input, power and output checks above.
What success looks like
A supplied, powered chamber accepts dust and releases sand through its output.
