Build a working Packager route

Updated
Start here

The Moon Sweepers Packager accepts collected dust and sends it out in capsules on a conveyor. It is a collection and transport device; a Pressure Chamber is the separate machine that processes dust into sand.

Player replies identify the belt output on the Packager's rear. Connect that output to the Hub for the normal selling route, or to a processing-machine input.

Choose a destination before placing it

  1. Equip the Building Tool and open Logistics. The named launch guide places the Packager in that section.
  2. Leave a clear route from the rear output to the destination.
  3. Deposit a small amount of dust using the intake interaction; the launch guide reports E.
  4. Observe the first capsules leaving before you extend the line.

Use the right destination

Sell collected dustA belt reaching the Hub intake
Produce Moon SandThe Pressure Chamber's dust inlet
Only store dust for laterA route whose storage and eventual destination you understand

If it seems to do nothing

Identify the first place where material stops. Dust waiting before the output, capsules stopped on a belt and a processing machine refusing an input are different problems. Replacing a Packager cannot repair a disconnected destination.

The source posts about the Packager and packaged material not appearing indoors describe the same workflow. Once dust arrives at the Hub and is paid, do not wait for it to reappear inside.

If the machine says Could not pack a capsule

Version 1.0.4 specifically addresses machines stopping with “Could not pack a capsule” despite available power and materials. Update before testing that symptom again. If it persists, preserve the machine, version and first blocked stage; the fix does not replace the input, power and output checks above.

What success looks like

Dust enters the Packager, capsules leave the rear output, and the chosen receiver accepts them.
